This is a unique project aimed at promoting gender equality and empowerment of women by training them in automobile mechanics skills.  This project has given hope to many mothers who would otherwise be jobless.  The one year basic apprenticeship training is currently run at the Women's Academy in Busia County, Western Kenya.  Young and older women are given vocational skills and tools for trade in automobile car mechanics and are accredited by a national trade test.

$500 will provide a car wash machine for the Lady Mekanika Project.
