These supplies are needed at the Safe House in Nakuru, Kenya. The safe house provides temporary shelter for boys and girls up to the age of 18. Assistance is provided to children who have been abandoned, abused, found lost or destitute or exposed to domestic violence; or whose parent/s have been imprisoned; or female children who have been subjected to female genital mutilation and/or early marriage. The purpose of the safe house is to give short term shelter, food and counseling to children in need of care and protection. After a review of their situation children are re-united with their family, referred to an institution for fostering or adoption or released to an appropriate person for supervision.
