$70.00 will purchase a goat which will belong to a student and his/her family. Money will be earned from the goat's milk and from new goats. One animal can produce up to four gallons a day. These funds will be used to pay fees to attend a school that is located between Pignon and Maissade in Haiti. The school has 600 students from grade K-13. It serves a remote, rural community where the parents subsist on garden farming. There is no irrigation in the area, so during the dry season, many people struggle with hunger. The goats will provide milk, cheese and butter for nourishment, as well as an additional source of income through sales of extra milk.
