Afghan students must provide their own school supplies, including pens and pencils, and many families cannot afford them. Imagine teaching math or writing to children who are unable to bring with them a pen or pencil to class. One goal of Trust in Education, www.trustineducation.org is to provide pens and pencils with the words "Trust in Education" stenciled in English and Dari on them. these pens and pencils will solve the problem for those who cannot afford them while emphasizing how important education is. trust in Education has expanded in Afghanistan from one school of 120 children in 2003 to supporting classes in many villages and helping thousands of children. By 2010, Trust in Education funded classes taught by 25 teachers in 10 villages, attended by more than 500 boys and 750 girls.
