The Education and Nutrition program of Atzin, a humanitarian non-profit organization, helps children living in acute poverty to gain skills for life in Tlamacazapa, Mexico. Each week 120 students learn to read, write and do basic math. The program strengthens a new "culture of reading" in this large indigenous village of 6,200+ Nahua people in the mountains of South Mexico, preparing them to tackle serious social and environmental problems in the future.
