The preference is for metal desks because of recurrent breakage of wooden desks. The Loigero public school has 720 students in 10 classes (over 70 students in one class). Four to six students share a small wooden desk. More desks are urgently needed to ease the congestion in the class and avoid split sessions. Also the tablets which are provided by the government are stored in the desk. The Masai children and their Masai Mara villages face many many challenges. The schools aim to provide a quality education for everyone.
