The shoes expand five sizes and last for years. Right now in Gaza so many children have had to leave their homes because of war. They walk long distances every day, over sharp rocks and broken streets, many without shoes to protect their feet. Over 1.5 billion people suffer from soil-transmitted diseases worldwide. Without shoes, children are especially vulnerable to soil-transmitted diseases and parasites that can cause illness and even death. They suffer needlessly.
