large group of school children outdoors

The Oloigero Comprehensive School (pre-primary, primary and junior secondary) is located in rural Maasailand in Narok County, Kenya. The 300 students who board at the school do not have electricity at night. While the school is working hard to support their students, these students are at a disadvantage because they cannot study at night. The individual solar lights will allow students to continue their studies after dark, increasing their chances of staying in school and passing on to the next grade. This project is a collaboration between Unite to Light, Oloigero Comprehensive School, Prescott College and Rotary Club of Mesa West.
