More than two years after the Taal Volcano erupted, the damage continues to dominate life there. Residents were displaced and struggle with their livelihoods (fishing, farming, livestock). More than 400,000 people have been affected. The environmental impacts include ash deposits on the volcano island and surrounding provinces, increased turbidity in Laguna Lake, damaged fish pens and ground deformation.
