two students in front of a brick building

Proper uniforms will instill a sense of pride and equality among the students, while writing books are necessary for their daily academic activities. Nembila Secondary School, located in Hwange district, Zimbabwe, was established in 2012 and currently serves 120 children. The school faces significant challenges as three-quarters of its students come from families that cannot afford basic necessities, such as school uniforms and books. These families are economically disadvantaged, with no steady income or agricultural activities due to the geographical constraints of the region. The economic hardship was further exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, during which many parents returned from local mines and have not been re-employed since.
