The Phulani High School has 250 girls from three rural villages. Girls ranging from grade 8 through 12 wrote to the Masungulo Youth Development and asked for the pads and that organization can only provide supplies for 20 girls. Their letter stated that many girls stay home from school during their period as they do not have supplies. The kits would allow them to continue to attend school.
