A herd of 50-80 high quality goats is being established. There is good forage in the area, but supplements such as mineral blocks will insure healthy stock. Goats in Haiti typically produce 1.5 to 2 kids per year. Once the breeding cycle is stabilized, they will focus on selling the fattened males and keeping the females to grow the herd. Goat meat is in high demand in Haiti. They hope to see a 30% - 45% return on their investment.
