$10.00 will feed several children a month in rural Haiti (Kenscoff and Leogane). Often this is the only meal the children receive all day. The food is purchased from local vendors and farmers and the meals are prepared and served by Haitian cooks. Approximately one in two Haitians, age 15 and older, are illiterate. Eradicating illiteracy is one of the top human rights priorities for Haiti. Sionfonds for Haiti feeds, provides medical and dental care and educates children to create opportunities for the youth of today to rebuild Haiti.
