The second wave of COVID-19 in Nepal has harshly hit everyone. The Ministry of Health estimates that one person dies every 10 minutes. Doctors, nurses and frontline workers are struggling hard to provide oxygen and ventilators. The Rotary Club of Rudramati Kathmandu is working with the Manmohan Memorial Community Hospital in the southern region of Kathmandu to respond to the pandemic. The Club is seeking support to install a medical oxygen plant at the hospital so that no patient will be turned away due to lack of oxygen. The hospital is the only one in the municipality and it serves more than 100,000 villagers annually. Similarly, with this support, the Rotary Club will help other hospitals which are in dire need of medical equipment. Any donated amount will help.
