RotaCare Concord is a free medical clinic for those without medical insurance, founded by the Rotary Club of Concord, CA in 2009. The clinic currently provides free medical care via both telehealth one evening per week and in person clinics one evening per week. This also includes a women's clinic one evening per month. There is only one paid staff member with the rest of the clinic being staffed by volunteer clinicians, translators and those who are interested in learning more about careers in health care, providing administrative support to the clinic and as medical scribes. For their patients who are diabetics, they often provide free glucometers (blood sugar test kits). For those with significant hypertension, they provide free blood pressure monitors. These medical devices help their patients with chronic disease learn how to better manage their own healthcare.
