$25.00 feeds one student for one week; $100.00 provides a meal kit to five families (average 8 members per family). The 106 students of the Karat School Project education center in Yopougon, Allokoi, Ivory Coast receive two meals and two snacks each day, in addition to free education and school supplies. Many of the 500 families in the community experience food insecurity and this may be the only food the students eat all day. It is difficult to learn if you have an empty stomach.
