Approximately 300,000 Urdu-speaking Biharis, a linguistic minority, are living in 116 refugee camps in Bangladesh. They are Bangladeshi citizens, but 53 years after the independence of Bangladesh, the camp dwellers have now stayed over four decades in these settlements. Al-Falah Bangladesh is a government registered, non-profit, non-religious, social welfare voluntary organization. Their mission is to improve the quality of life of the Urdu speaking people and increase their access to education, skill, health, economic opportunities and cultural activities. They are running 11 pre-schools in Mohammadpur, Rangpur and Ishwardi. A total of 300 students attend these schools.
