One hundred and fifty students study at the Dhamma school located in Village No. 5 in Thambutteegama. This is a rural area with a low level of facilities. The students have requested desks and benches so that they do not have to sit on the floor to do their studies. They requested these funds from the Damsara Elder Society in Maddegama, Sri Lanka. This organization secures funds and coordinates social welfare projects to assist villagers.
