The Little Bugs School is raising funds to purchase a large, sturdy bus to transport children to the school. The distances in Namibia are vast and the conditions are too hazardous for the children to walk to school. Not only would they risk encounters with animals, but there are also venomous snakes and scorpions. The heat in the summer is untenable and the winds in the winter can reach 70 kilometers/hour. Fuel costs have increased dramatically this year and the corrugated dirt roads result in a shorter vehicle lifespan. A larger bus would allow more children to be able to attend school.
