TIE (Trust in Education) has been providing aid to Afghanistan since 2003. It is addressing the problem of making education accessible to Afghan girls who are currently not being educated beyond the sixth grade. TIE has established a tablet library. Families can check out a tablet as they would a book. The tablets are loaded with educational software, enough to learn everything they would learn through the 12th grade and beyond. The problem is that most families do not have electricity. The solar system solves this issue. TIE currently has 95 sponsored families and plans to provide every family with a tablet and solar powered pack.

$75 will purchase a fully loaded tablet and $65 will provide a solar powered system that provides light at night and recharges the tablets.
